Brazilian Fintech Magie Selected for Amazon Generative AI Accelerator Program

Brazil's fintech company Magie, creator of an AI-powered financial assistant integrated into a digital bank on WhatsApp, has been selected to participate in the exclusive AWS Generative AI Accelerator. Organized by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the program targets startups at the forefront of generative AI, offering support to accelerate their growth and technological innovation.

Magie stood out among more than 4,500 startups from 129 countries, being recognized for its potential for innovation and impact on the financial market. As one of the selected fintechs, it will receive up to US$1 million in credits to use AWS infrastructure, in addition to intensive and personalized training.

During the AWS Generative AI Accelerator program, Magie will participate in a kick-off in Seattle and will have access to technical and business mentorship, as well as coaching sessions with industry leaders. The program also includes training in sales, fundraising, and product development.

Furthermore, Magie will benefit from AWS's global partnerships, such as NVIDIA, Meta, and Mistral, further strengthening its market position and accelerating its growth. With this achievement, Magie reaffirms its commitment to transforming the financial sector through cutting-edge technology, now with the robust support of AWS.

Investment Round

Recently, fintech Magie received a R$22 million investment led by the American investment fund Lux Capital. Together with a previous R$6 million investment from the Brazilian fund Canary, the seed round totaled R$28 million.

With its AI-powered digital bank on WhatsApp, Magie simplifies financial transactions, allowing users to make Pix payments, pay bills, and perform various banking operations simply by sending messages or audio within the app, all while leveraging a native password function. Since its launch in early 2024, Magie has already processed over R$100 million in transactions. Initially focused on high-net-worth individuals, the fintech is now strategizing to expand its services to an even broader audience.

The selection for the AWS Generative AI Accelerator program and the recent investment round place Magie in a privileged position to continue innovating and expanding its operations, positively impacting the global financial market.
