Technology education increases productivity by 65.6% in Brazilian companies, research shows

The adoption of emerging technologies and investment in technological education are redefining the innovation landscape in Brazilian companies. This is indicated by the 2nd edition of the “Tech Education & Innovation in Companies 2025/26” survey, conducted by Alura + FIAP For Companies. The study interviewed professionals from Human Resources, Training & Development, and Technology, and revealed that over 65.6% of organizations already perceive an increase in productivity after investing in technological training.

Furthermore, 81% of respondents state that Artificial Intelligence has a direct impact on team performance, assigning an average score of 9.2 on a scale from 0 to 10 to AI's contribution to corporate results.

“Training and the development of technological competencies are fundamental pillars for companies that wish to respond agilely to market transformations and remain competitive,” emphasizes Tavane Gurdos, General Director of Alura + FIAP Para Empresas. “It is necessary to prepare people from all areas to think strategically about technology and know how to use it as an asset for growth and innovation.”.

Investment and priorities in training

Most organizations direct their budgets towards educational partnerships, prioritizing learning platforms with structured pathways, in addition to the acquisition of specific trainings and co-participation in undergraduate and graduate courses.

Even with consistent advances, 87% of companies have not yet reached full digital maturity, and only 13% consider themselves digitally mature, a drop of 21% compared to 2023, which reinforces the need to look at development strategies in the face of accelerated technological changes. The study points out, in fact, that technology training is seen as an essential tool for fostering performance-oriented cultures and developing leadership prepared to drive digital transformation, with over 50% of respondents citing these issues as fundamental.

Leadership and personalization: drivers of transformation

One of the most relevant findings of the survey is the role of leadership in the effectiveness of learning initiatives, with 61.83% of companies already offering programs focused on leader development.

Over 80% of respondents state that personalizing the learning journey is essential to generate more consistent results, highlighting the need for customized strategies that combine technology, data, and business purpose. The study also shows that technological education is increasingly integrated into organizations' business strategies.

Companies that invest in training report greater agility to respond to market changes and strengthen their competitiveness, highlighting training as an essential strategic component for innovation and business sustainability in the current digital environment. The survey indicated that 47% of respondents stated that all employees in the companies are encouraged to develop themselves in technology — an increase of 33% compared to 2023. This reinforces the idea that technology is present in all areas, and no longer restricted only to professionals with a specific background. “The leader who learns and encourages learning multiplies transformation. When leadership understands the strategic power of tech education, it becomes a catalyst for innovation and performance,” states Tavane.

AI and innovation: expanding opportunities

Even with its still incipient use, Artificial Intelligence is beginning to gain space in different sectors. The areas of Technology (81.7%), Data (54.1%), Marketing (37.4%), and Human Resources (29.7%) are the ones that most use AI tools on a daily basis.

Among the strategic priorities indicated by companies for increasing operational efficiency, the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, leadership development, and the implementation of agile methodologies stand out.

Despite all the benefits in productivity and the relevance of these topics, there are still significant challenges for technological learning to truly become consolidated in the national scenario. Among the most frequent obstacles pointed out by the study participants are: the lack of budget allocated to training, low engagement from professionals, and the need for greater awareness among leadership about the importance of continuous learning. It is worth noting that the survey considered multiple responses, showing that these challenges are recurrent and coexist in the reality of Brazilian companies.

“The combination of education and emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, is the new axis of competitiveness for companies. When teams learn to use technology strategically, the impact goes far beyond productivity: it transforms cultures and accelerates results,” concludes Tavane.
