Brazilian e-commerce took another leap in 2024, growing 16% and surpassing the R$ 200 billion mark in revenue, according to the Cloud Commerce 2025 report. This movement generates an increasing need for agile and flexible storage points, capable of meeting the speed and cost requirements of online sales.
In the same year, the self storage sector in Brazil registered a high of 9% in the number of boxes available, reaching more than 218 thousand units, while the total operations grew 4%, to 590 self-storage centers. In a scenario of penetration of only 11% of e-commerce in national retail, the search for solutions that bring stocks closer to large consumer centers should intensify.
Thiago Cordeiro, CEO and founder of GoodStorage and president of ASBRASS, has closely followed this scenario. “With this transformation in retail, the trend is for the growth of the need for logistics structures that are within the urban perimeter. According to the report CloudCommerce, 77% of the retailers interviewed show confidence in the growth of and E-commerce for 2025, a record index. This optimism is directly reflected in the self storage sector, which receives investments in new units and technology to support the increase in demand. There is also a great need for operational flexibility, showing that bets on digital also reflect on physical infrastructure

With an agile and adaptable business model, it is a fact that the sector will continue to grow and consolidate as part of the shared economy and the evolution of urban logistics in the country.
