The digitalization of Brazilian businesses has opened up space for a new type of entrepreneur: digital creators, infoproduct producers, and SMEs that conduct international transactions. It is in this scenario that Simple Account – the leading corporate expense management platform in Brazil, which already transacts BRL 2.4 billion per semester and serves 30,000 customers – is launching the Conta Simples Global, in USD. The product's objective is to help this audience make transactions in American currency without the charge of IOF (Tax on Financial Operations) and save around 50% on fees compared to traditional banks.
With the launch, users can centralize their finances while making payments to other countries simply and at reduced costs. The product allows transfers that reach 2% (compared to 1% of the value from competitors), issuance of multiple free dollar cards for online ads (Google, Meta, TikTok), and integration with digital marketplaces (Buygoods, Cartpanda, ClickBank). In addition, account opening happens in a maximum of two days, and customers receive support in Portuguese via WhatsApp.
According to Rodrigo Tognini, CEO and co-founder of Conta Simples, the company expects the launch to help the fintech double its global customer base in 12 months and move $1 billion by the end of 2028. "We believe we can become a reference for Brazilian entrepreneurs operating outside the country. The global account guarantees the same competitive conditions they would have in any other developed market. It's a chance to embrace a digital economy that never stops growing," he says.
This growth outlook for digital commerce can already be identified in a series of projections. An estimate from Goldman Sachs, for example, reveals that the Creator Economy sector is expected to reach $480 billion by 2027. Furthermore, a study by Juniper Research shows that B2B transactions are projected to reach $224 trillion by 2030, with virtual cards accounting for 83% of the global market as early as 2029.
How does the global account work?
Considering that 22% of its customers make recurrent international purchases and 27% invest monthly in paid media, Conta Simples began mapping the possibility of launching a global account in 2024. In a survey that received 1,600 responses, approximately 45% of the company's partners expressed interest in a complete solution of this category, given that there were still no global accounts in the country that covered the nuances of the Brazilian market.
In early 2025, the fintech company began product development. Integrated into its expense management platform and supported by the infrastructure of Airwallex, a global leader in financial technology, the launch assists with receiving payments, sending remittances in dollars, and using a global corporate card, in addition to optimizing sales and payments for organizations that operate international ads, tools, and services.
"It's a global product, but it definitely brings local expertise and touch. The solution removes bureaucracy from operational tasks, reduces fees, and adapts to the Brazilian reality and the demands of each entrepreneur. In a few clicks, the user can manage their operation with agility, security, and without losing profit margin," points out Tognini.
Expectations for transactions
By the end of the year, the fintech expects the global account to be decisive in achieving the goal of R$ 22 billion in total transaction volume, considering all payment methods offered. Of this amount, 30% to 35% should come from cards, representing between R$ 6.6 billion and R$ 7.7 billion, more than double what was transacted in 2024.
It is important to note that this acceleration is mainly driven by the use of virtual cards by SMEs and infoproduct producers, which accounted for 95% of emissions in the first half of 2025 alone.
For 2026, the prospect is that values will increase even further with the expansion of the product to the euro and pound. The company plans to start this development process in the next six months.
"We believe that the global account is the bridge that will lead us to strategic markets, allowing our brand to become synonymous with financial excellence for entrepreneurs anywhere on the planet," highlights the CEO of Conta Simples. "Our vision is to grow together with our clients, and their global success will become ours," he concludes.
