According to the report “The State of Business Communication 2023”, carried out by Harris Poll for Grammarly, 72% of business leaders believe that effective communication has increased the productivity of its teams, while 52% of knowledge workers (Knowledge Workers) share this opinion. The study, which interviewed 251 business leaders, also revealed that 60% of them believe that effective communication has been an important factor in increasing employee confidence.

“ Constructive feedback is also a key tool for the continuous development of teams. When the leader assertively communicates the areas of improvement and, at the same time, recognizes the strengths, employees feel valued and motivated to improve their performance”, he points out. For her, feedback, when well structured, not only corrects flaws, but also encourages individual and collective growth.
Active listening is another key element for success in high-performance communication. A leader who knows how to listen demonstrates respect for the opinions of his team and creates a space where people feel really understood. This type of characteristic generates a space conducive to innovation and problem solving in a collaborative way.
It is worth mentioning that companies that invest in effective communication among their employees are able, more efficiently, to achieve their goals and maintain a high level of productivity. “This happens because, when there is clarity in the guidelines, constant feedback and an active listening culture, employees tend to be more engaged, committed and productive”, adds the specialist.
Bia also recalls that leaders and managers should always improve their communication and expression skills, using oratory to persuade and, above all, inspire. “ The ability to capture the listener's attention and transmit messages in an objective and impactful way can be the differential between the success and the failure of a team”, he concludes.
