With Meta and OpenAI features, Magie brings 10 banks to WhatsApp

The fintech Magie, which has gained prominence in the financial market, has just taken an important step by integrating 10 banks to WhatsApp, allowing its users to make payments and transfers via PIX using balance accounts of different financial institutions. The novelty will be available from next Monday (16), with the promise of offering a practical and safe solution for the holidays, without the need to access banking applications directly on the main mobile.

Backed by Meta and OpenAI resources, Magie has been distinguished by innovation in its platform, which allows simple and fast financial transactions through text, audio or image commands. Since its launch in 2024, fintech has already moved R$ 300 million and recently completed a round of investments in the amount of R$ 28 million, led by the American investment fund Lux Capital, with participation also of the Brazilian fund Canary.

“Our intention is increasingly to make life easier and bring security to people. Magie allows the customer to uninstall the applications of mobile banks and leave home only with WhatsApp. And, of course, for any transaction made you need to authenticate through password, in addition to the possibility of the user to include a limit for PIX and” payments, says Luiz Ramalho, CEO and founder of Magie.

Magie's proposal is to meet the needs of users seeking an agile way to make multiple daily payments and even ensure greater security by avoiding the use of banking applications in public places.Fintech, which already implemented Open Finance technology in early December, expects a significant increase in the number of transactions during the holiday period, offering a solution that can transform the way Brazilians deal with their finances on a daily basis.

The ten banks that will be available in the new functionality are: ildeItau, ildenBank, ildrenc6 Bank, ildrenSantander, ildBradesco, ildBBTG, WWWPicPay, WDXP, WLGBanco Inter, WLGBanco do Brasil and Working Market Paid.

The new functionality will be enabled three days before the deactivation of the native WhatsApp payments feature. Despite this, Meta do Brasil supports the Magie initiative, offering digital infrastructure and support for development in its application.

Magie has also been investing more and more in security.Today, for example, it already ensures that users' passwords are not recorded in WhatsApp conversations and uses robust protection systems to ensure the security of banking transactions.
