The Accelerator Group, a company that operates with corporate education and mentoring for entrepreneurs, founded and led by the Goan entrepreneur Marcus Marques, is moving towards reaching more than R$ 160 million revenue in the year 2024, with an operating margin (EBITDA) above 50%, which can result in a profit close to or even higher than R$ 85 million.
From January to September 2024, the brand has already earned R$ 122 million and the planning is to make more R$ 45 million in the last quarter, resulting in up to R$ 167 million turnover this year.
A number of factors explain the growth in 2024 Marcus, a significant part is due to the inauguration of the new headquarters, which favored branding, brought more credibility and positioning.“Agora, we have more space to scale our classes of the Business Accelerator. Before, we received 200 entrepreneurs, and today, we have more than 400 in each class. In addition, now we have a physical space to receive up to 1000 people in events of different formats”, he highlights.
The new headquarters in Alphaville has 5 thousand square meters and was executed with a total investment of approximately R$ 50 million. The property has already been evaluated in R$ 90 million by certified appraisers.“The new headquarters consolidates the pace of growth that the group has been conquering over the years. We left an annual turnover of R$4 million in 2020, for more than R$ 160 million that we will conquer in 2024. We were only six employees at the end of 2020 and we will reach 200 employees at the end of this year.
Structure designed for accelerators
There are two structures within 5,000m2. The office for employees and the event center are called the “Office Accelerator” and “Space Accelerator”. Both the office and the space rely on the most modern and comfortable to provide students and customers with meaningful experiences.
Employees have a gym within the company, an internal garden in the middle of the office for decompression, facial readers, meeting rooms with technological resources such as digital whiteboards, ergonomic chairs, as well as workstations that make up a structure designed to generate satisfaction and engagement in everyday life.
The Academy and the internal program Accelerates Health, which stimulates the Accelerators (the affectionate way that employees are called), aims to encourage teams to exercise more and eat better, incorporating healthier habits into the lifestyle.
Group diversifies revenue to accelerate growth
The Accelerator Space also functions as a business unit and a source of revenue for the group, by renting the entire structure for third-party events. The space has two plenary rooms full of technology, which have more than 150m2 of LED panels, house mixes advanced, sound and special lighting.
Another growth lever for the Accelerator in 2024 was the launch of the Tour Acelera Brasil. Marcus personally visits the cities in Brazil to teach the Workshop Accelerate Your Company. The expectation is that 25 cities will receive the workshop only this year. “It is a winning strategy, which has already resulted in more than R$20 million in revenue this year. The public that accompanies me on social networks is quite geographically diverse, so this opportunity of connection is a way to scale the number of subscribers in the immersion Business Accelerator. Who does not live in Sao Paulo goes on to make the experience in this initial headquarters, this experience, it highlights the experience in this course.
The combination of a new headquarters that includes more students, according to Marques, brings more credibility, brand strength and conversion.“A expansion strategy of making smaller events in Brazil is contributing to another positive year for the Accelerator Group, Both the billing goal and profitability will most likely be achieved”, he concludes.
