Casas Bahia modernizes data infrastructure and migrates Databricks platform to Google Cloud in partnership with Thoughtworks

Thoughtworks, a global technology consultancy that integrates design, engineering, and artificial intelligence, announces that Casas Bahia, one of Brazil's largest retailers with over 1,000 physical stores and a comprehensive e-commerce platform, has successfully completed the migration of its data lake and Databricks platform to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This strategic move has already resulted in an immediate 10% reduction in costs and gains in operational efficiency, establishing a robust and scalable foundation to handle the high demand of the Black Friday season and support the company's future growth.
