Black Friday & Speedo Multisport projects 45% revenue higher than in 2023

Black Friday, an event imported from the United States, stood out for great deals on discounts in a wide variety of retail sectors.Held officially on the last Friday of November, the date following the Thanksgiving holiday, held on Thursday, when many American families gather. Black Friday 2023 it negatively surprised the online retail market and presented 2.41 Tp3T drop, for the same period of 2022, with R$ 8.52 billion in sales.“In 2023, on Black Friday a Speedo Multisport has earned 60% more in e-commerce that in 2022”, comments Roberto Jalonetsky, CEO of Speedo Multisport.

“We are attentive to these changes and evaluating strategies to adapt our marketing and sales planning to the new dynamics of the” consumer, says the general director of sports brand present in more than 40 thousand points of sales and 1 thousand cities throughout the country.

According to recent research 69% of Brazilian consumers are waiting for promotions of a specific brand, such as 35% they seek attractive prices as the main differential and 44,8% they want to buy through e-commerce. “These data show that the people have already scheduled themselves for this date and already know the product and brand they want. This brings an advantage to companies that are already consolidated in the market.In water sports, for example, we have more than 80% of share and we know that part of our audience expects to arrive in November to try new categories of products that they will use in the summer, such as, for example, manufacturing”, comments Jalonetsky.

This year, interest has increased by 5 percentage points compared to 2023, as the most recent survey shows, and around 85% of consumers, are already preparing to take advantage of the offers of the next Black Friday, which will be on November 29. 

       Speedo Multisport expects this year to increase billing by 45% for the same period of 2023.“We expect growth significant in consumer engagement, especially by the increased interest we have collected in recent surveys. At Speedo Multisport, we have prepared a diversified portfolio of strategic offerings to attract this audience that is already planning their” purchases, says Jalonetsky.
