Black Friday boosts demand for smartphone models on the Internet in November, Radar Simplex points out

In the month of Black Friday, which this year happened on November 29, several smartphone models dominated searches in large electronic retail.This is what the edition of Radar Simplex, a survey of the Franco-Brazilian startup Simplex, which monitors searches performed by consumers in the largest e-commerce in the country and captures trends through an artificial intelligence platform.

The Xiaomi Poco f5, Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and iPhone 14 models showed growth of 445,6%, 283,7%, 249,5%, 297 %, 214,3% and 238,7%, respectively, in November compared to October. Already the top of the Iphone 15 line was in the last position of the ranking of the 15 most searched terms, with an increase of 13T, 15.

“It is already a common behavior of the Brazilian consumer to seek smartphone models earlier than the latest on Black Friday. Usually, they are items that have higher discounts, representing a good deal for those who want to change handset investing less”, explains John Lee, CEO of Simplex.

Samsung also did not go unnoticed in the mega promotion of 2024. However, the consumer was more generic, keeping an eye on the good offers not only of the brand's smartphones.It is what indicates the search for the term “Samsung”, which grew 349% during the period. “When it is a less specific search, probably people were looking for varied products”, highlights John.

In addition to smartphones, remote controls for the PlayStation 4 stood out, taking the lead of the Simplex Radar, with a jump of 602.1% in November compared to October.

Dryer brush, helmet, electronic bike and home items like vacuum cleaner and double bed box complete the ranking.
