As part of the transformation actions of its leadership team, the Avaya, a global leader in communication and customer experience solutions, announces Kamilah Thomas as the new senior vice president and chief people officer (CPO) of the company.
With more than 20 years of global human resources leadership and organizational transformation expertise, Kamilah will oversee Avaya's global human resources and lead its cultural transformation in pursuit of the title of best company to work for, marking another step in the organization's ongoing mission to foster a high-performance culture.
In addition, she will lead the company's efforts in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and the Avaya United employee resource group communities, with the goal of creating a work environment and culture that is equitable and inclusive, reporting directly to Avaya CEO Alan Masarek at Morristown, New Jersey.

The company's new senior vice president and CPO is on the Boards of Directors of MasterCraft Boat Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCFT) on the Corporate and Nominating Compensation and Governance committees. Prior to joining Avaya, Kamilah was senior vice president of people and workplace experience at Roku, where she contributed to organizational growth, broadening the workforce into 56%, and the organization's profitable growth. Also, she served as chief people officer at Dow Jones & Company, where, along with the top-0-managerial culture, she has been a 000-to-to-people transformation.
