Amazon Brazil announced another step in the expansion of its FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) program. The Nova Santa Rita (RS) distribution center, which has already been operating the logistics program since 2024, will now also serve sellers in the states of Santa Catarina and Paraná starting August 11th. With this expansion, partner sellers from these states will be able to send their products directly to the facility, and have their logistics completely managed by the company, from warehousing to after-sales, ensuring even greater convenience and speed in deliveries throughout the country.
This expansion represents a significant advancement in Amazon's logistics strategy, which has already invested over R$1,188 million in Rio Grande do Sul since 2010, as well as an additional R$90 million in Paraná and R$13 million in Santa Catarina. With the program expansion, Amazon allows these sellers to operate with their own local CNPJs.
With the elimination of the requirement to establish a São Paulo branch, the seller's experience joining the program becomes more streamlined. For consumers nationwide, this expansion means access to a wider variety of products with free shipping, faster deliveries due to regionalized distribution, and an improved shopping experience.
This expansion is the result of negotiations with the Rio Grande do Sul state government and was accelerated by the efforts of Amazon Brazil's local technology team, which reduced the technological efforts for the launch to 95%. The program will be available by the end of 2025 in the Distribution Centers of Minas Gerais, Federal District, Rio de Janeiro, Pernambuco, and Ceará.
How to participate
To participate in Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), sellers must have an active CNPJ (Cadastro Nacional de Pessoa Jurídica) in an eligible state and comply with the corresponding tax regime (Regular Regime or Simple National Regime, depending on the state), as well as an active Amazon account. The process is simplified into three steps: 1) List products on FBA and configure the Amazon invoicing system; 2) Create a shipment and prepare the products; 3) Wait for Amazon's pick-up or ship the products yourself.
