Amazon Brazil announced a significant expansion in its International Shopping Store, adding 40 million products sold by Amazon in the United States to its catalog available to Brazilian consumers. With this increase, the local operation, which began in 2019 with 1 million items, now has more than 170 million national and international products.
The expansion covers 35 categories, including books, clothing, automotive articles, footwear and home products, from renowned brands such as Champion, Conair, Ninja and Carters. One of the highlights is the inclusion of more than 26 million imported physical books, demonstrating the company's continued commitment to promoting reading.
Daniel Mazini, president of Amazon Brazil, highlighted the advantages offered to customers: “ Amazon Prime Members will have even more benefits, with free international shipping on eligible items from the International Shopping Store, while non-Prime customers will pay a reduced rate of R$ 8.90”. In addition, prices already include taxes and import fees, following the rules of the Conforming Shipping Program, and customers can opt for various forms of payment, such as Pix, boleto and installment credit card, accumulating cashback and points in local partnerships, such as Livelo and Meliuz.
Products identified with the “Compra Internacional” label are sold and shipped directly by Amazon US, offering customers the ability to track their orders through the website and a deadline of up to 30 days for returns.
Mazini emphasized the company's commitment to offer Brazilians an even broader and more affordable selection: “Essa is one of the largest catalog expansions we have ever made in Brazil. Bringing products from the United States at competitive prices and with local payment reinforces our commitment to” consumers.
With this initiative, Amazon seeks to consolidate its position as a reference in online retail in Brazil, combining variety, competitive prices and convenience for consumers, in a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the Brazilian market and meet the growing demands of customers for quality international products.
