Alexa is present in the routine of millions of Brazilian families. In 2025, the use of the assistant has grown consistently, showing that voice technology is already part of everyday life, from simple tasks to moments of leisure. In total, there are about 15 million devices with Alexa being used every month in Brazil.
Smart Home expanding
Brazil had a significant advance in the adoption of smart home devices in 2025, with more than 29 million Alexa-connected devices, a growth of 32% compared to the previous year.Over the period, more than 4 billion actions related to the Smart Home were carried out, demonstrating how Brazilians are increasingly familiar with this type of technology.
This result is also driven by the growth in the availability of Alexa-compatible devices in Brazil, produced by several national and international brands. Currently, there are more than 3,000 Smart Home devices on sale that can be controlled by Alexa, including lamps, switches, plugs or sockets, cameras, universal infrared remote control, electronic lock, presence sensors, gas or noise, air-conditioners, feeders or drinkers for pet, robot vacuum cleaners, curtains and blinds, washing machines, air purifiers, and even taps.
Routines & productivity
Last year, Brazilians performed about 2 billion routines in Alexa. Routines are one of the most practical features of Alexa, allowing customers to automate several actions simultaneously with a single voice command, a predetermined time or several other triggers. For example, when saying “Alexa, I woke UP”, the assistant can perform several actions such as turning on the lights, informing the weather forecast, passing the news summary, playing a favorite playlist and even connecting the coffee machine connected to a smart plug outlet. Routines can also be configured to be automatically triggered at specific times, when detecting movements or sounds, or when the user arrives or leaves home. In addition to routines, Brazilians have also made intensive use of other productivity features, with more than 2 billion interactions with timers, reminders and alarms
Voice shopping: more practicality
In total, more than 370 million purchase-related interactions were recorded, including offer searches, price queries, order status tracking, shopping list management, and even purchases made directly by the voice assistant. It is worth remembering that to ensure transaction security, Alexa offers different configuration options, such as the possibility to add a PIN to authorize purchases, vocally confirm each order before finalization, and even completely disable voice purchases, allowing each customer to choose the level of protection that best suits their needs.
Music & entertainment
Brazilians have stepped up their use of Alexa as an entertainment partner, recording nearly 6 billion audio-related interactions in 2025, including music, podcasts and radio. On Echo Show devices, about 700 million video-related actions were recorded, the main requests being: “Alexa, open YouTube”, “Alexa, open Netflix”, “Alexa, open Globoplay” and “Alexa, open Prime Video”. Among the most sought after content by customers are Maria Clara and JP, Patrol Canine and Peppa Pig.
Culinary
The kitchen was also one of the highlights of the year, with 35 million actions related to recipes, a growth of 58% compared to the previous year, showing that Alexa is, increasingly, a versatile assistant. In total, there are more than 200 thousand recipes available within Alexa, helping the customer to check the list of ingredients (you can add everyone on the shopping list with a simple click or voice command) and follow the step by step in the preparation of the dish.
