Aftershoot: Application that uses AI for post-editing images arrives in Brazil

Brazilian photographers can work faster and focus more on their interests with the arrival of a new tool that facilitates the post-editing of images in the country Aftershoot, a powerful all-in-one tool developed to streamline the workflow of photographers, arrives with its features of selection, editing and retouching of images in the Brazilian market.

Founded in 2020 by Harshit Dwivedi with extensive experience in software development and Justin Benson, a professional photographer, the duo created the software to address common challenges faced in their daily work, such as managing large volumes of photos and the need for tools to help with post-production workflows, as well as helping photographers better enjoy their time.

The tool facilitates the most time-consuming post-editing functions & SA saves on average over 120 hours (three full weeks of work) per year, allowing photographers to focus on what they like most & create, spend more time away from screens or even invest in their business.Aftershoot has three main post-editing modules: AI Culling, for intelligent selection, AI Editing, for more consistent editing, and AI Retouching, which will be released soon.

The mode AI Culling helps photographers significantly speed up the selection process, saving time and protecting them from burnout. This mode identifies the best images based on composition, focus and other technical parameters. AI groups duplicate images, detects blurred images and closed eyes and sorts photos on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Two selection modes are available: AI Culling and AI - assisted Culling.

As for AI Edits mode, it learns the photographer's style for custom edits or uses pre-built AI styles to maintain consistency between sessions. Photographers can create a personal AI profile by training the tool on their edited images to reflect a unique style. AI requires a minimum of 2,500 edited images from a Lightroom catalog to create profile based on the photographer's unique style, which is also necessary to get the best and most accurate results.

Photographers can also explore a variety of pre-built AI Styles, crafted by renowned photographers, to find the optimal editing style for their work. These pre-built styles are useful for those who have not trained their own profile or are exploring new creative directions. AI Styles can be tweaked to suit individual preferences by combining AI efficiency with creative control.

Next year, AI Retouching will also be available, a new mode designed to empower photographers by handling the monotonous part of post-processing retouching routines with advanced AI technologies.
