Study maps some of the trends involving generative AI and the future of business

The generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) market is here to stay — from the first research in the 1950s to the boom starting in 2023 with the expansion of tools like ChatGPT and Gemini. The technology has moved beyond the big tech bubble and entered the daily operations of businesses, which have started automating processes and are exploring all ways to leverage AI to boost business, save resources, professionalize and standardize tasks, and manage processes based on data.

To better understand where the business world is heading with AI, Blip, a pioneer in conversational AI in Brazil and worldwide, conducted a market analysis titled ‘Generative AI and the Future of Business: Trends for 2025.’ ‘Knowing which technologies are on the rise allows innovation leaders to prioritize them in investments. Understanding, for example, the power of WhatsApp in business-to-customer communication, as well as anticipating which tools and technologies will be most strategic in certain sectors, signals the need to allocate budget to research and development before competitors even mobilize,’ says William Colen, AI Director at Blip.

Below are four emerging trends from the study:

  1. AI Agents and Copilots

The wave of chatbots is transforming into the wave of generative AI agents and Copilots. AI is no longer just reproducing information but is establishing itself as a producer and creator of intelligent information, especially in conversational form. Generating conversations is a strong trend in the use of Generative AI.

These intelligent virtual assistant models, based on everything known about the consumer, can deeply understand the context of each interaction and act as true copilots for customer service and sales teams. These solutions, trained with each company’s proprietary databases, provide hyper-personalized responses and enhance operational efficiency, turning customer service into a truly intelligent experience.

  1. Personalization at Scale

Two terms that always seemed opposite — ‘personalization’ and ‘scale’ — are increasingly coming closer together with generative AI.

Today, an e-commerce platform can recommend products based on each customer’s history, creating engagement and strengthening brand communities like never before, increasing loyalty and perceived value among audiences.

  1. Data Reading and Insight Creation

Generative AI processes massive volumes of information to support business teams in transforming data into strategic decisions. By automating complex analyses, companies gain agility and precision, avoiding missed opportunities due to a lack of clear insights into their own data.

  1. Generative AI That Processes Audio
  • Voice assistants built with multimodal LLM technology, though similar in use cases to Siri and Alexa as we know them, can now operate with a high degree of naturalness. We can expect advancements in these two assistants in the short term.

‘Alongside the boom of generative AI, debates arise about the ethics of its use. The goal is to protect users’ rights and data and mitigate risks associated with AI, such as discrimination, manipulation, inaccurate information, and privacy invasion,’ concludes Colen.

About Blip
