Simpress expands logistics structure with 7 hubs and 50 mini-hubs nationwide to speed up service

Simpress, an IT equipment outsourcing company specializing in notebooks, smartphones, and printers, has announced an ambitious logistics decentralization project with the creation of 7 hubs and 50 mini-hubs in major Brazilian capitals and regions. The company has over 600,000 devices allocated to businesses across the country, including Pague Menos, Cobasi, Yamaha, Hermes Pardini, Dasa, and Harald. In many cases, Simpress devices are used in critical operations where downtime can impact sales, patient care, or business continuity. Simpress delivers a device every 12 seconds, totaling approximately 3,000 deliveries per day, 60,000 per month, and over 700,000 per year to clients nationwide. When considering all logistic movements (receipt, dispatch, transfer, and retrieval), this number rises to 2.5 million annually—covering new equipment, supplies, maintenance parts, etc.

This is an extremely efficient yet complex process that until recently was managed from Simpress’s three distribution centers in Itajaí (1) in Santa Catarina and Osasco (2) in the metropolitan area of São Paulo. Over recent years, as the company grew rapidly, multiplying its revenue and the number of devices allocated to clients, Simpress designed a logistics decentralization project that gains momentum with the opening of hubs in Santa Catarina, Espírito Santo, Brasília, Paraná, Ceará, Bahia, and Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to mini-hubs across Brazil.

“Some changes and transformations are inevitable, and the increasing adoption of IT equipment outsourcing by businesses is one of them. It makes no sense—even financially—for a company to purchase a computer or notebook and then have to maintain it over time. The advantages of outsourcing are so significant that once a company starts, it doesn’t go back to the old model. We’re confident we are nearing a tipping point where outsourcing notebooks and smartphones will become dominant, just as printer outsourcing did over two decades ago when we pioneered this business model,” said Vittorio Danesi, CEO of Simpress. “Today, our churn rate is already minimal—less than 0.5% annually—and offering a comprehensive solution that earns high approval from our clients is a great satisfaction. With the new hubs and mini-hubs, about 85% of emergency parts and equipment demand will be met locally with even greater speed and efficiency.”

In 2023, Simpress discreetly opened its first hubs in Brasília, Santa Catarina, and Espírito Santo. Based on strong results, the company greenlit the expansion and strengthening of the project in 2024, with the creation of additional hubs. The next units will be in Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Fortaleza, and Salvador, beginning operations in January 2025. Meanwhile, the 50 mini-hubs are located in key capitals and smaller cities where Simpress has significant operations, enabling deliveries within hours of an order. For strategic reasons, the company does not disclose mini-hub locations. With these new facilities, Simpress ensures devices (such as notebooks, PCs, tablets, printers, smartphones, and data collectors) are available more quickly to a larger number of clients nationwide.

With 60 of Brazil’s top 100 companies as clients, Simpress’s outsourcing solution goes beyond leasing: it offers full management and delivery of customized, ready-to-use devices, including ongoing support and monitoring to ensure optimal equipment performance. In cases of breakdown or theft, replacements are fast, minimizing client impact. The company stands out for its nationwide service, aggressive SLAs, and comprehensive solutions integrating multiple services. Additionally, security is prioritized to ensure efficient management and device fleet protection.

Currently, the company meets outsourcing demands in over 4,200 of Brazil’s 5,570 municipalities, covering 75% of cities and 95% of the population. Simpress utilizes various transport methods—air, ship, car, motorcycle, and bus—with its own fleet (partly electric) and outsourced logistics partners to ensure fast and efficient deliveries adapted to regional needs. The deployment of hubs and mini-hubs will expand this coverage while enhancing Simpress’s response capacity, minimizing transport time, and reducing carbon emissions, aligning with sustainability goals. This measure also cuts delivery costs by saving freight expenses, as the new facilities are closer to clients.

“Simpress is currently the IT equipment outsourcing company with the broadest reach, supporting operations in all Brazilian regions, including remote areas. Our logistics operation is unmatched and a major competitive advantage in the outsourcing sector. Now, with the hubs and mini-hubs, we take the next step in quality. This is a transformative project for Simpress, with the potential to further enhance the client experience with IT outsourcing,” said Carlos Pulici, the company’s Vice President of Operations. “Simpress’s presence in so many municipalities is supported by robust logistics, backed by transport partners and advanced technologies. The hubs and mini-hubs help us reinforce Simpress’s capillarity, as decentralization not only reduces delivery time but also improves customer satisfaction with closer, faster service.”

Simpress also leverages artificial intelligence for inventory planning, ensuring hubs and mini-hubs are always prepared to meet local demand. AI enables automated stock balancing without manual intervention, optimizing replenishment and preventing surplus or shortages.

With strategically positioned hubs and mini-hubs nationwide, Simpress not only transforms its logistics but redefines the standard for end-to-end service in the sector. This new structure is a bold move, positioning the company ahead of an increasingly demanding market where quick response is a key differentiator. For Simpress, delivering technology isn’t enough—it must stay a step ahead in logistics and, even more, in customer experience. Thus, Simpress redefines what it means to lead IT device outsourcing in Brazil. In this scenario, constant innovation and local presence become central pieces in an increasingly dynamic and competitive game.
