Retail trends are presented in New York

The eyes of the retail world are on the Javits Convention Center in New York, where NRF 2025 is taking place. Considered the largest and most influential in the industry, the event, organized by the National Retail Federation, an association that brings together U.S. retailers, gathers market giants, visionary startups, and technology experts to explore the trends shaping the future of retail.

This year, the event highlights, for example, the use of artificial intelligence in personalizing customer relationships and inventory management, promoting greater operational efficiency. Another novelty is the advancement of retail media, with retailers monetizing digital and physical spaces to create new revenue streams. Sustainability and the circular economy will also take center stage, with companies investing in sustainable solutions and material reuse to meet the demands of more conscientious consumers. Additionally, the redesign of physical stores will be a central theme, focusing on integrating digital channels, from in-store pickups to order personalization.

“NRF goes far beyond an exhibition: this is the epicenter of innovations that define the retail industry. It’s where the future of retail takes shape. Participating is essential to understanding the changes and leading adaptation in the Brazilian market, always with a focus on the customer,” says Cesar Baleco, CEO of IRRAH, a Paraná-based group present at the event that serves over 50 countries with digital solutions for fashion and retail.

According to Baleco, ‘Brazilian companies participating in the event, like the IRRAH Group, by bringing global insights to Brazil, not only follow trends but position themselves as protagonists in applying these innovations in the local context.’

Moreover, there’s inspiration beyond observing trends—transforming global best practices into effective solutions that meet the needs of the Brazilian market in a practical way, promoting corporate competitiveness and driving digital transformation in retail and fashion.

For Diego Berteli, CFO of the IRRAH Group, ‘these discussions at NRF have the power to drive real transformation in the Brazilian market. They not only enhance operational efficiency but also enable more robust integration between various platforms and processes, while strengthening sustainability in the sector, creating a more competitive business environment aligned with future demands.’

Among the debates at NRF, standout topics include the monetization of digital spaces, intergenerational strategies, and the impact of global economic fluctuations on retail. Speakers like John Furner, CEO of Walmart, Artemida Patrick, President and CEO of Sephora North America, Tommy Hilfiger, founder and principal designer of Tommy Hilfiger, among others, are part of this big retail show.

“At NRF, where global leaders like Nvidia, Walmart, and Amazon share their visions, the IRRAH Group proudly represents Brazil, carrying the mission of transforming retail and elevating the national market to the highest international standards,” emphasizes Baleco.

The event runs until this Tuesday, January 14. To learn more: https://www.grupoirrah.com.br. About the event, visit: https://nrfbigshow.nrf.com.
