Starting operations in April, the new Tecnofit Personal feature already has over 5,000 registered professionals and coverage in more than 900 cities across all 26Brazilian states and the Federal District. The tool has already registered over 100,000 student registrations interested in hiring a personal trainer. The search tool allows filtering by location, specialty, price, and type of service (online or in-person), optimizing the connection between supply and demand. Additionally, it offers the service through web or mobile access, significantly improving accessibility for students.
“The idea emerged organically when we noticed that around 50% of app downloads came from students looking for a personal trainer. This led us to see the opportunity to connect this demand with our base of professionals. Now, with the search tool, we can simplify this connection in a straightforward and personalized way,” explains Antonio Maganhotte Júnior,, CEO of Tecnofit.
According to an internal survey with the company’s client base, 40% of personal trainers cite acquiring new students as one of the profession’s biggest challenges, and the new Tecnofit Personal feature aims to address this exact issue.
This innovation aligns with the growth of the fitness market in Brazil and worldwide. According to the Global Wellness Institute, the global wellness economy is expected to reach $8.5 trillion by 2027. Additionally, Brazil is already the second country with the highest number of gyms worldwide, with around 35,000 units. It’s estimated that between 10% and 20% of gym-goers hire a personal trainer at some point in their journey.
