Mateus Prestes takes over as the new CEO of NXTBNK, a cross-border payment fintech crossborder based on blockchain technology. With solid experience in payment methods and launching digital and financial products, Prestes brings a strategic vision to lead the company in its next phase of growth and innovation. Graduated in International Relations, he began his career at a crypto-asset startup and worked for companies in supply chain and healthcare, in addition to working at an association in the blockchain sector.

Mateus highlights his contact with technology, always present in his life. His father, a natural innovator, worked with IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain since 2014, which sparked his interest in this field. At 17, still in college, he entered the payments world by working at a crypto-asset startup. A year later, he began working at an industry association, deepening his knowledge in this market. Subsequently, the executive returned to supply chain, joining one of the largest healthcare companies in the country.
Having already worked alongside Alby Azevedo, Mateus specialized in compliance, for over a year, Mateus developed this area and, within just 10 months at the company, also took over operations. During this period, he immersed himself even more in the payments world, closing strategic partnerships and agreements in more than five countries – including the United States, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates – and coordinating operations and clients in over 20 markets.
“Taking on the role of CEO at NXTBNK marks a new stage in my career, with the opportunity to further expand the solutions already offered.
