Brazilians bet by mobile and almost exclusively through it. Traffic data from May 2025, collected by Aposta Legal, shows that 98.7% of accesses to legal betting sites in the country occurred via mobile devices, while only 1.3% came from computers.
This habit gains even more strength with the recent release of official betting apps in the stores of Google and Apple, facilitating direct and continuous access to the platforms.
In May, authorized betting sites accumulated 2.12 billion visits in Brazil, with almost all of this traffic coming from mobile phones.

In total, there were 173 million unique devices in the month, which in practice represents a reach equivalent to about 80% of the Brazilian population exposed to some bet.
Most of the accesses happen directly, with users actively seeking a betting house.
However, a considerable portion also originates from clicks on banners or pop-ups that appear automatically during internet browsing.
Increased engagement of Brazilians with bets
Even though part of the betting audience in Brazil accesses these platforms indirectly, such as by opening ads in browsers, for example, the engagement is significant.
Traffic data shows that, on average, the over 2 billion visits spend up to 14 minutes of browsing per access, with 77% of users exploring content beyond the homepage.
This engagement recorded in May is higher than the last record in the historical series. In February, the average engagement of Brazilians with legal betting sites was 13 minutes.
From browser to app store
Google’s new policy, adopted in June, allows companies authorized by the Ministry of Finance to publish their apps on the Play Store — something unprecedented until then. Among the first available apps are Betano, Betnacional, Aposta Ganha, Superbet Apostas, Superbet Cassino, Bet7K, King Panda and RDP (Rei do Pitaco).
On the App Store, Rei do Pitaco is already accessible, and other operators await approval.
This movement marks a turning point in the sector, which seeks to provide faster, safer, and more integrated experiences with the mobile behavior of Brazilian bettors.
