Mercado Libre (NASDAQ: MELI), an e-commerce and financial services company, in partnership with Ada – a company specialized in large-scale recruitment and selection using AI-powered tools -, announces the opening of applications for the second edition of Desenvolva+.
This opportunity, free and 100% online, is aimed at people with disabilities who have academic or technical education recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) in technology or exact sciences fields, who wish to develop the necessary skills for a career at Mercado Libre through a technical training in Backend programming focused on Java—one of the most in-demand areas in the sector.
Lasting 15 weeks with over 300 hours of content, Desenvolva+ offers an intensive and practical learning journey, with live online classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 7 PM to 10 PM. The program also includes meetings, career workshops, mock interview sessions, and mentorships, along with close support from Mercado Libre and Ada specialists.
The curriculum is aligned with real market demands and the daily work of Mercado Libre’s tech team, which was recently ranked #1 in Brazil for reputation and practices focused on the inclusion of people with disabilities by the Integridade ESG portal in partnership with InsightLab. Upon completing the program, students will be invited to participate in exclusive recruitment processes with the company, strengthening the direct link between training and professional opportunities.
“To continue bringing life to our purpose of democratizing e-commerce and financial services to transform the lives of millions of people in Latin America, we need to drive an inclusive ecosystem for all every day. This is achieved with a team that represents the diversity of our users. With Desenvolva+, we aim to boost the training of tech professionals who bring new perspectives and experiences that will contribute to innovating solutions and products for those who choose Mercado Libre,” says Patricia Monteiro de Araujo, People Director at Mercado Libre Brazil.
“At Ada, we use proprietary AI technologies to select, develop, and map each participant’s key skills, offering a personalized learning journey so that each person can progress with confidence and be truly prepared for market challenges. More than just training, this partnership is a real opportunity to boost careers and reinforce our commitment to transforming and including more people in the tech world,” comments Felipe Paiva, CEO of Ada.
In this edition, the Desenvolva+ selection process will use CAIO—Ada’s conversational AI—to assess participants’ motivation for the project. Additionally, it will include a coding test to measure technical knowledge and the Coding Tank: a three-day phase that simulates the course with practical challenges and evaluation criteria for technical and behavioral skills.
This is an opportunity for those looking to accelerate their careers and increase their chances of professional placement at Latin America’s largest tech company. Applications are open until June 23 on Ada’s website. You can access the opportunity via the link: Link
