Lockers become strategic allies for small businesses

The small business ecosystem in Brazil is in full expansion. Between January and May of this year, the country saw the opening of 2.21 million new businesses, with the vast majority (97%) consisting of individual microentrepreneurs (MEI), microenterprises (ME), and small businesses (EPP). This number represents a 24.9% increase compared to the same period last year and highlights the strength of autonomous entrepreneurship. For many of them, who work in selling clothing, cosmetics, or electronics, delivery logistics is one of the main challenges.

In this scenario, smart lockers emerge as strategic allies. The lockers allow sellers to deposit merchandise in a secure location for customers to pick up at their most convenient time, without the need for in-person meetings or paying expensive shipping fees. This flexibility not only optimizes the seller’s operation but also improves the shopping experience, a crucial factor for customer loyalty.

“Our mission is to democratize access to cutting-edge logistics. Small entrepreneurs no longer need to worry about having a physical space or aligning their schedule with the customer’s for a delivery,” explains Gabriel Peixoto, CEO of Meu Locker. “By using a smart locker, they offer a professional, secure, and 24/7 available service. This not only solves a logistical problem but also adds value to their brand and puts them on equal footing with larger businesses,” he concludes.
