Hotels.com launched the new edition of Hotel Price Index, an annual report that analyzes the main accommodation price trends around the world, such as: cities with the most luxurious five-star stays and those that offer the best value for money. According to the survey, Paris leads the global ranking as the city with the highest average daily rate for five-star hotels: $730. Next are Milan ($695), Miami Beach ($684), and Orlando ($669). In Brazil, the surprise was Manaus, which surpassed Rio de Janeiro and now tops the national list, with rates reaching $577 for five-star accommodations.
“For travelers who are increasingly price-conscious, the Hotel Price Index offers a unique lens on information about the best way to maximize your money. It’s like a travel tips page that reveals where to splurge, where to save, and where luxury subtly costs less,” says Melanie Fish, Global Vice President of Public Relations and travel expert at Hotels.com.
“Cities like Bangkok, São Paulo, and Mexico City stand out for offering well-ranked hotels in any star category, proving that traveling well doesn’t have to mean high rates. For those looking to stretch their travel budget even further, Hotels.com’s VIP Access program adds more value to the experience, offering benefits like upgrades and spa credits,” she adds.
