This week, Havan received several reports from customers who were victims of a new online scam. Criminals are using Artificial Intelligence to clone the voices of businessman Luciano Hang and company employees, offering false credit limits, even for those with bad credit, in exchange for a fee.
Havan reiterates that it does not offer this type of service and never charges any fee for obtaining the Havan Card. The card is issued exclusively in physical stores after a credit analysis.
Businessman Luciano Hang regrets that the company has to once again warn the public about scams involving his name and the retailer.
“It’s a never-ending battle. While we shut down one scam, several others emerge. We are fighting a losing battle, and digital platforms do little to curb these crimes. Despite our constant warnings on social media and in the press, many people continue to fall for these frauds,” emphasizes Hang.
Havan has already obtained favorable court rulings against Meta and Google, ordering the platforms to block fraudulent ads that misuse the company’s and Luciano Hang’s image, under penalty of daily fines. However, the scams persist, and the platforms have been resistant to removing the illicit content.
