Brazilian women entrepreneurs sustain their households and lead the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) to boost their small businesses. The GoDaddy 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Survey reveals that these women are redefining success with confidence and resilience, using technology to simplify operations and inspire a new era of business opportunities and innovation in a post-COVID world.
In Brazil, 57% of the small businesses surveyed are owned by women, with 67% of them stating they started their businesses in the last five years. These statistics highlight the significant presence of women in entrepreneurship in Brazil and underscore their resilience, especially considering the challenging economic climate caused by the COVID-19 pandemic five years ago.
Artificial Intelligence supports female entrepreneurship
Women entrepreneurs are not just running their own businesses, they are excelling with unshakable confidence. An impressive 98% of those surveyed expressed their belief in their abilities, a testament to their well-founded strength in the business arena. Additionally, nearly four out of five (79%) agree that AI will help their small business compete with larger, more resource-rich companies in the coming year.
For example, Brazilian women report saving eight hours per week by using AI tools like GoDaddy Airo®, an AI-powered experience that simplifies website creation, logo design, and digital marketing strategies for entrepreneurs. This saved time equates to a full workday per week, time they spend generating creative ideas (60%), staying organized and managing daily tasks (46%), and learning new skills or improving existing ones (45%).
Women entrepreneurs are resilient in the face of economic uncertainty
Despite mixed feelings about the current Brazilian economy, with only 16% feeling very optimistic, Brazil’s women entrepreneurs remain resilient, with 86% believing their businesses will grow in the next 3 to 5 years, a higher percentage than among men (80%).
And these aren’t just predictions: 50% of women entrepreneurs in Brazil are the primary breadwinners for their families. These women are contributing to local economies, creating new jobs, and supporting families.
Business leaders are adopting digital tools to grow
Beyond feeling fulfilled by creating their own income source (63%) and supporting their families (47%), women entrepreneurs take joy in being an inspiration to those around them (32%).
