GFT Technologies, a global digital transformation company focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), announces the arrival of Fabiana Piesigilli as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Brazil, as of early August. With over 23 years of experience in the market leading digital transformation projects and IT strategy at financial sector companies in Brazil and abroad, Fabiana’s main goal is to combine an AI-Centric and customer-oriented vision with the company’s sustainable growth, ensuring GFT in the country continues its expansion efficiently without sacrificing agility.
To achieve this, she aims to combine strategic vision, execution capability, focus on operational excellence, and proximity with teams and clients. ‘We are an AI-Centric company and have our own tools, such as Wynxx, which accelerates key stages of the software development cycle. In this highly competitive environment, we need to continue differentiating ourselves through continuous innovation and execution excellence,’ she states.
For this reason, one of her challenges will be to continue leading GFT’s local technological evolution, keeping the team updated and aligned with the real needs of the market and clients. This vision is fully aligned with the company’s strategic goal of being the best partner in responsible AI-centric digital transformation worldwide. GFT in Brazil has seen a 38% increase in its workforce in 2024 and an 18% increase in revenue. The company’s global plan for the next five years is ambitious: growing from €871 million in revenue in 2024 to around €1.5 billion in 2029. ‘Soon, AI will become a commodity for both the consulting market and clients. So, it’s crucial to anticipate the changes and trends already happening.’
Another key goal for GFT, which Fabiana will support, is expanding the company’s presence in other segments it operates in beyond finance. Fabiana believes that with the strength of the team and the company’s expertise in digital transformation and AI, there is significant room for collaboration and consistent growth.
Fabiana brings to GFT her vast experience in major consulting firms and financial institutions, such as C6 Bank, Accenture, and Everis (now NTT Data), leading IT architecture projects, core banking implementations, and business unit transformations. She has also been on ‘the other side of the counter,’ as a portfolio manager and technology services client. This background will help her deeply understand the challenges of operations and clients, allowing her to act strategically in complex environments with a focus on concrete solutions and clear purpose.
To achieve the intended results, the executive plans to engage the team through a shared vision, encouragement of continuous development, and recognition of achievements—based on a leadership model that prioritizes proximity, trust, active listening with clear objectives, and empathy. ‘I want to maintain an environment where people feel a sense of belonging and are motivated to give their best. GFT is a company with a strong culture and solid values that I deeply identify with. These are key differentiators for attracting, engaging, and retaining talent,’ she adds.
