Consumer Day (03/15) – Proper planning and strategic tools help strengthen customer relationships

Consumer Day, celebrated on March 15th, is approaching, and online stores are already preparing promotional campaigns to boost sales during this period. Among the essential aspects for special planning during this period, Rodrigues highlights that online store managers need to check inventory and ensure the availability of promotional products. It is also crucial to coordinate with the logistics team to ensure maximum attention to order preparation and delivery. The CEO of Enviou also recommends that store teams stay alert to opportunities to attract and convert new customers who will be drawn by the promotions. It is essential to ensure these customers have positive and memorable experiences. For this, besides ensuring the online store remains operational, it is extremely important to have a customer service team ready to answer questions and assist customers during purchases. Finally, the Enviou expert recommends creating smart communications. 

The director of Prosphera Educação Corporativa, in turn, explains that it is beneficial for managers to review sales data from the same period last year to establish a foundation for defining this year’s product quantity and mix. He also advises retailers on how products should be presented to customers. In his view, creativity can play a significant role here, suggesting it could be very effective—besides promoting specific items—to create bundles of complementary products, making it logical for consumers to purchase everything at once. 

To maximize planning, Felipe Rodrigues from Enviou recommends combining tools that strengthen marketing and sales strategies. According to him, a good email marketing platform and delivering personalized content through this channel can be excellent for directing customers to the online store. At the same time, tools that recover abandoned carts and detect browsing abandonment can be decisive in converting sales that were nearly lost. Another recommendation from the marketing and e-commerce expert is the personalized trigger tool, which allows sending fully customized content to consumers to spark interest in specific items. 

Matsumoto also emphasizes the importance of having appropriate communication for the occasion, with a store’s visual identity aligned with the period, trained staff, and suggestive selling—that is, increasing the average ticket by offering complementary products at affordable prices. Another point highlighted by the expert is consistency across all aspects—from visuals to customer service—to attract customers into the store and secure sales. According to Matsumoto, marketing must engage customers’ emotions, understanding who will enter the store, what people are looking for, and how they feel. With stocked inventory and a team that knows what and how to present, it becomes easier to impress and assist in purchasing decisions.
