Base strengthens live commerce strategies with TikTok Shop integration

The live commerce revolution has just arrived in Brazil with TikTok Shop. Base, a global integration and automation platform for e-commerce, announces full integration with TikTok’s new live commerce feature for all Brazilian customers starting today.

This means all the necessary functionalities to manage your store or sales via TikTok Shop are now centralized and automated on Base’s platform, including complete management of ads, orders, inventory, reports, and much more.

“Live commerce is a major trend for omnichannel strategies in the coming years, and Base’s early integration with TikTok Shop demonstrates that the priority is always staying one step ahead for our customers,” explains LATAM operations head Luciano Basile, who has been leading Base’s growth in the country since 2023.  “Social networks have become brands’ primary point of contact with their customers, and selling where their attention is, at the moment they want to make a purchase, is the experience that will make a difference in their journey,” he concludes.

Since the feature’s launch in September 2023, TikTok Shop has already surpassed 15 million active sellers worldwide. The proposition is simple: combine viral content with a direct shopping experience—without leaving the app.

TikTok Shop already operates in Europe, Asia, North America, and Mexico, markets where Base is also present with integration. Numbers show expectations that TikTok Shop will move around R$ 39 billion by 2028, representing a significant share of national e-commerce and establishing itself among the market’s leading marketplaces.

How TikTok Shop works

TikTok Shop is a set of features for brands, content creators, and merchants to sell their products directly from the social network’s feed and live streams, even allowing them to create customized store pages.

More than a marketing channel, TikTok Shop will create unique opportunities for sellers, through Base’s platform, and for affiliates, who are content creators promoting products in exchange for commissions.

In other words, TikTok has created an ecosystem where sellers, brands, and influencers work together to boost sales to over one billion active accounts through:

  • Feed videos with shopping links
  • Live streams with integrated shopping cart
  • Customized store page
  • “Shop” tab directly on your profile
  • Campaigns with influencers promoting your sales
