Ethics, transparency, and corporate governance are essential pillars for any company seeking to grow sustainably. This is the foundation of the Integrity Program of Asia Shipping, the largest logistics integrator in Latin America, which for the second consecutive year has published its Integrity Report, highlighting the main practices and annual achievements in compliance and governance to ensure increasingly secure and responsible operations. Among the results featured in this edition, the company highlights earning the Clean Company Certification, joining the Business Pact for Integrity and Against Corruption (with a seal granted by Instituto Ethos), and the Brazil Pact for Business Integrity, aligning the company with the best practices of the CGU – Office of the Comptroller General of the Union, reinforcing its public commitment to business ethics and transparency.
Integrity metrics
Demonstrating its commitment to integrity, through this survey, Asia Shipping achieved a 93% compliance rate in one of the key indicators of ethical best practices—reinforcing its alignment with corporate responsibility—and addressed 1,483 requests through its Compliance Helpdesk channel. Throughout 2024, a total of 978 documents were reviewed to ensure compliance, and the risk mitigation rate was 77.36%, reflecting significant performance in identifying and resolving potential threats to organizational integrity and compliance.
“The compliance demonstrated through the key ethical guidelines, provided by the CGU in the aspect of integrity, reflects the commitment to implementing and continuously monitoring the company’s initiatives. Regulatory compliance not only strengthens stakeholders’ trust but also ensures that the organization operates ethically and in line with market best practices, fostering a more transparent and secure business environment,” says Alexandro Ferreira, Compliance Manager at Asia Shipping.
For Alexandre Pimenta, CEO of Asia Shipping, the company’s Code of Ethics, combined with compliance policies, reinforces the organization’s commitment to fair and transparent practices. “Through our Ethics Channel, for example, we ensure a safe space for employees and partners to report any situation contrary to our principles, with the certainty that each case will be treated seriously and impartially,” he adds.
The integrity journey is not just a company commitment but also a reflection of the daily work of every employee. “The success of our Integrity Program is the result of the dedication of everyone who is part of Asia Shipping,” comments the CEO.
While 2024 was marked by significant achievements, such as risk mitigation, efficient handling of compliance requests, and meeting regulatory requirements, Asia Shipping’s goal for 2025 is to advance further with more training to reinforce the culture of integrity, strengthen communication and compliance channels, and continuously monitor best practices and regulations.
