Environmental concern has been a constant topic in society. And in the corporate environment, it would be no different. A 2024 study by the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil (Amcham Brasil) shows that 71% of companies have implemented or started some sustainable initiative, with 78% of them having an agenda of environmental and social commitments. Among the brands that have sustainability in their DNA is Airlocker, the first Brazilian franchise of fully self-manageable smart lockers, which has just fulfilled its sustainable mission through the launch of a recyclable smart locker.
Unlike its original version, which is made of steel, this solution is produced using 100% recycled polymer plastic, which undergoes a reindustrialization process and reduces waste disposal by up to 35%, in addition to pollutant emissions. In total, the product development took about two years, and sales expectations for 2025 are for 100 units.
“Today, we are moving toward an increasingly digital and sustainable world. There’s no going back from this reality. That’s why we believe this is the best time for this launch. Our expectations for the initiative’s acceptance are the highest, and this is just the first investment reflecting our vision for the future of the business: delivering increasingly responsible innovations that not only enhance consumer experiences but also foster a more conscious society,” says Elton Matos, co-founder and CEO of Airlocker.
