Users in Brazil have just received a new feature from Spotify that allows them to visually customize the cover of their playlists directly in the mobile app. The functionality is another way to materialize platform customization and connect aesthetics, music, and personal identity.
The feature offers an intuitive and creative interface, where it is possible to customize covers with own images, text effects, colors, gradients, graphic elements, and exclusive stickers. All of this without leaving the app.
To use, simply select a playlist created by the user, tap on the three dots in the upper right corner, and click on “Create custom cover”. The result can be saved, edited, and shared with friends or on social networks.

Aesthetics and visual identity are central elements in how Generation Z connects with the digital world. This generation consumes, shares, and interacts with music not only by sound affinity but as a direct extension of their personality, humor, and values. Spotify’s new feature enhances this relationship, allowing each playlist to also carry a unique and personal visual.
