The logistics multinational, ID Logistics Brazil, with a strong presence in e-commerce, had an average growth of 28.5% this year, above the expected on Black Friday. The company aimed at an overall increase of 25% in the volume of orders for all sectors. But the logistics sector for fashion operations exceeded expectations well. The numbers even reinforce ID Logistics expertise in fashion, which was one of the sectors most served by Black Friday this year.
In one of the operations, for example, one of the retail distribution centers fashion came to have a significant growth of 30% for the date. And on the main day of Black Friday, November 29, one of the companies that ID Logistics operates all logistics had the highest turnover in history in a single day.
The main and challenging measure of the strategy for Black Friday, drawn up in June together with its customers in the segment, was the hiring of temporary employees for an area that already suffers from a labor deficit ¡n recent times the operator released notice with more than 2 thousand vacancies, to assist logistics with a chance of hiring.
The number of employees of the operation also grew 34% in the framework of this year for the Black Friday campaign, counting on vacancies of temporary logistics assistants. Rogerio Elias, Regional Operations Manager of ID Logistics, in times of peaks such as Black Friday and Christmas. According to him, a multiplier collaborator is responsible for the training of new hires.
Another important measure was the provision of equipment, such as radio frequency collector, forklifts, uniforms and PPE, among others, if necessary.
To achieve the growth goal and even overcome, the strategy that contemplates the synergy between different distribution centers, and even for the same warehouse for the rapid displacement of employees and equipment was used.
In retail, another area of activity of ID Logistics, the work focused on October to supply the stores, mainly with electronics items, white line, televisions, among others. In this case, the increase in volumes was found to be about 10% . The same occurs in the case of the food and beverage industries, which according to Anderson Almeida, also Regional Operations Manager of ID Logistics, expanded the portfolio of products worked by the platforms.
