For the second consecutive year, Grupo Gazin was elected the best retail company to work for in Brazil in the category Super Large (companies with over 10,000 employees), according to the ranking by Great Place to Work (GPTW). The award ceremony took place yesterday (02/03) in São Paulo, during an event that brought together representatives of major retail sector companies.
“Being recognized once again as the best retail company to work for by GPTW fills us with pride. This award reaffirms our commitment to maintaining an exceptional work environment, valuing every employee, and promoting an organizational climate of excellence,” highlighted Gilmar Alves de Oliveira, president of Grupo Gazin.
“This award is not just an achievement for Grupo Gazin but also a testament to the spirit of excellence and collaboration that permeates the entire organization,” he added.
The award is part of the annual ranking of the 11th GPTW Retail, which recognizes organizations that led the creation of healthy workplaces in 2024, prioritizing well-being and employee satisfaction, as well as companies that developed innovative practices in nurturing and valuing professionals at all career stages. Four categories are evaluated: small, medium, large, and super-large companies.
Gazin is a company that values its employees and encourages teamwork, focusing on social inclusion and diversity. The Group is fully aware of its social mission and therefore invests in various solidarity initiatives, such as the campaigns Pintando o 7 and Outubro é 10, which last year allocated over 3 million in donations to Apae (Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional) and hospitals treating cancer patients.

The year 2024 marked a period of strong growth for Gazin. The company opened 18 new stores, expanded its industrial presence with the opening of a new factory in Araguatins (TO)—considered one of the most modern industrial parks in the country—and expanded its logistics infrastructure with two new Distribution Centers, in Araguatins (TO) and Santarém (PA). Additionally, the company advanced in the financial sector with the expansion of Gazin Bank, its digital bank, and the launch of the Gazin credit card.
Currently, Grupo Gazin comprises 11 companies, 10 industries, 23 Distribution Centers, and over 360 retail stores, operating in 14 Brazilian states: Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Rondônia, Acre, Pará, Goiás, Amazonas, Bahia, Paraíba, Ceará, and Tocantins.
The success in 2024 solidifies Grupo Gazin as one of the largest players in the national market, preparing for an even more promising 2025—the year it celebrates 60 years of history—with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and expansion.
