The capital of Ceará will host, on the next May 18th, the Tray Varejo Experience, an event focused on training store owners and strengthening e-commerce in the Northeast. The initiative, promoted by Tray, aims to enhance the results of local entrepreneurs and consolidate the region’s leadership in the sector.
According to Thiago Mazeto, director at Tray, the Northeast has been gaining increasing prominence in national e-commerce. Data from the Brazilian Association of Electronic Commerce (ABComm) shows that the region already accounts for 16.03% of online consumption in Brazil, ranking third nationally. Ceará, in turn, represents 2.47% of the total.
“In 2024, small and medium-sized businesses using the Tray platform generated R$185.2 million in sales in the region, a 27.5% increase compared to the previous year. These figures highlight the strength of the Northeast in e-commerce,” says Mazeto. According to him, fashion and accessories, beauty, and home and decoration are the most prominent segments.
Tray offers a complete solution for digital store owners, with features such as marketplace integration, order and payment management, and marketing tools. Among the new features, the integration with TikTok Shop stands out, allowing product sales directly through the video platform. This enables store owners to synchronize their catalogs, manage orders, and create automated advertising campaigns within the Tray interface itself.
