Expo Magalu 2025 uses the success of real Brazilians to inspire small and medium retailers

On the next 21st and 22nd of August, Expo Magalu 2025 will take place, the company’s proprietary mega-event aimed at small and medium retailers who sell or are interested in joining the company’s marketplace. In its fourth edition, the event aims to inspire these entrepreneurs by sharing success stories from real Brazilians. The program includes over 70 presentations, including lectures and interactive experiences. Among the confirmed speakers are Karla Felmanas, vice-president of the pharmaceutical company Cimed, João Branco, former CMO of McDonald’s, Alberto Serrentino, and hairdresser Celso Kamura. The expectation is to welcome around 6,000 people each day of Expo Magalu, which will be held at the Anhembi District in the North Zone of São Paulo. 

At the opening, Frederico Trajano, CEO of Magalu, and André Fatala, the company’s vice-president of platforms, will participate in a debate on how to increase sales and boost conversion. The panel will be moderated by Ricardo Garrido, the company’s marketplace executive director. In the afternoon, Luiza Helena Trajano, chair of Magalu’s Board of Directors, will join Fatala again on stage to discuss technology applied to business. Over the two days, divided into five stages and three arenas, speakers and various Magalu experts will lead around 20 hours of discussions and knowledge tracks on topics such as marketing, technology, and logistics.

“Our goal is to bring practical content to every Brazilian entrepreneur that can be applied in their daily business and generate real results,” says Ricardo Garrido, Magalu’s marketplace executive director. “Expo Magalu is an opportunity not just for our over 300,000 sellers but also for small and medium retailers across the country to get inspired by cases and lessons from some of the best professionals in the country and successful sellers. It’s a valuable gathering for those seeking growth.”

Updates on the platform

During the event, Magalu will make a series of announcements related to its marketplace. Among them are the launch of new tools, platform innovations, and new ad formats for sellers already partnered with the company. All aim to streamline the product sales process and are linked to improving the retailer and consumer experience, focusing on boosting sales conversion. 

Among the key updates are improvements to search and catalog algorithms, the introduction of free shipping for supermarket products stocked in Magalu’s distribution centers (Full), a tool that identifies the correct automotive parts based on the customer’s car year and model, the revamp of the affiliate program, the ability to include videos in ads and product reviews, updates to partner reputation rankings, and new additions to the Seller Portal that guide how to improve reputation and competitiveness.

Over the two days, UniMagalu, the educational hub for marketplace partners, will coordinate the arenas and offer content every 30 minutes. Participants will exchange experiences with experts to leverage insights related to ad creation, fulfillment service usage, campaign management, and financial management, among others, to multiply their marketplace sales. 

Expo Magalu 2025 also has the support of Luiza’s Women in Business Seller Community. Entrepreneurs who are part of the group, led by Luiza Helena Trajano, will share their experiences and discuss how to make good use of the women’s support network. Additionally, all retail brands in the Magalu ecosystem—Netshoes, KaBuM!, and Época Cosméticos—will be present at the event.
