Infojobs projects approximately 1 million temporary positions on the website and app by February

The Infojobs, a specialized job site and app connecting talents and companies, projects the creation of over 910 thousand temporary jobs between November and February 2025, representing a significant growth of 118.31% compared to the previous year. The study combines advanced statistical methodologies, such as the SARIMA model, integrating seasonality and trends, and historical Month-over-Month (MoM) growth rates, to ensure accurate and well-founded projections.

The logistics sector leads the seasonal hires recorded on the platform, with 57.85% of the opportunities, followed by Sales (20.21%) and Industrial/Production (9.84%). Regionally, the Southeast concentrates 72.59% of the vacancies, with São Paulo standing out with 65% of the opportunities. Minas Gerais (10.73%) and the Southern states – Rio Grande do Sul (4.42%), Santa Catarina (3.20%), and Paraná (2.62%) – also present significant numbers.

According to Ana Paula Prado, CEO of Infojobs, the increase reflects companies’ strategic adaptation to the intensification of seasonal demand. “Black Friday, year-end festivities, and the beginning of 2025 drive consumption, requiring reinforcement of teams in sectors like retail, e-commerce, and logistics. Temporary jobs are also an excellent opportunity to identify talents with potential for permanent positions,” highlights Ana Paula.

The vacancies are mainly concentrated in operational positions (49.96%) and support roles (40.98%), which highlights the need for professionals to meet the high demand for logistics, customer service, and support. The CEO of Infojobs also emphasizes that these positions are strategic for young people seeking their first work experience: “Besides developing practical skills, these professionals have the opportunity to build their network of contacts and showcase their potential to companies.”

With a vibrant market and an unemployment rate of 6.4% in the third quarter of 2024 – the lowest rate since 2012 – companies face challenges in attracting talent. Nevertheless, the growth in job creation demonstrates economic strength and the decentralization of opportunities in various regions of the country.

The analysis by Infojobs highlights the strategic impact of seasonal hires on economic activity and talent development. With the support of data and technology, companies can turn the seasonal period into an opportunity to strengthen teams and drive results.
