Registrations are open for the second edition of the iFood Chega Junto, a program that encourages initiatives aimed at improving the living and working conditions of delivery people and their communities. With an investment of R$10 million – ten times more than the previous edition – the initiative will allocate resources to proposals aligned with six strategic pillars: road safety, food security, education, health, income strengthening, and circularity.
The program aims to support about 100 projects over the next two years, with the goal of strengthening the work of over 400,000 active monthly delivery partners on the platform. Delivery people, category collectives, social businesses, and civil society organizations with proposals that promote concrete and structural improvements, with the potential to generate lasting impact for delivery partners and their communities, are eligible to apply.
“Our goal is to expand the impact generated by delivery people and the organizations working with them. This edition was designed to support projects with real transformation potential, whether in access to education, traffic safety, income strengthening, health promotion, or other areas aligned with the program’s pillars. We want to invest in initiatives that leave a positive and lasting legacy for those involved in delivery, their families, and the communities around them,” says Luana Ozemela, Vice President of Impact and Sustainability at iFood.
The iFood Comes Together initiative was launched in 2023 as part of the company’s commitment to social solutions and strengthening the delivery community. In the first edition, R$1 million was invested in 25 projects selected from over 500 proposals, directly impacting over 11,000 people. The first edition contributed to the redesign of this second call for proposals, with more resources, expanded scope, and a focus on structuring initiatives.
The selection of projects for this second edition of Comes Together will be led by an external committee of experts from different institutions and areas of social impact, supported by the consultancy Semente Negócios, responsible for the entire registration, selection, and monitoring process of the initiatives. Possible formats include workshops, events, technological platforms, applications, webinars, among others, always focusing on the well-being of delivery partners and their communities.
