The Brazilian Electronic Commerce Association (ABComm) projects an online turnover of R$ 6.56 billion for this year's Father's Day, celebrated on August 11. This figure represents an increase of 5% compared to last year, when the turnover was R$ 6.25 billion. The average ticket should also show growth, going from R$ 453 in 2023 to R$ 469 in 2024.
The number of orders is expected to rise from 13 million, registered in the previous year, to 14 million this year, reinforcing the growth trend of the sector. The categories most sought by consumers are electronics, computers, fashion, mobile phones and home appliances.
“Parent's Day has been consolidated as one of the main dates of the sales calendar for e-commerce. We observe consistent growth year by year, driven by the advancement of digital and consumer preference for convenience and variety”, says Mauricio Salvador, president of ABComm.
