ApexBrasil and Amazon Expand Partnership to Qualify Brazilian Companies in the International Digital Market

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and Amazon.com Brazil announced the expansion of their partnership to qualify more Brazilian companies to conquer the international digital market. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be signed during the E-xport Meeting 2024, an event that will take place in Sao Paulo from July 30 to August 1. Registration is already open for companies interested in selling to the American market through the Amazon platform.

Memorandum Signature

Next Wednesday, July 31st, ApexBrasil and Amazon.com Brazil will formalize the MOU for the realization of the E-Xport edition Amazon.com 2024. The signature will take place during the E-Xport Meeting 2024, part of the largest event in and e-commerce of Latin America, the Brazil E-Commerce Forum. This event brings together experts, authorities and market leaders to discuss and plan the future of global e-commerce.

Since 2021, ApexBrasil and Amazon.com Brazil have collaborated to support the creation of more than 60 Brazilian business stores in the United States through e-commerce. In this new phase, the program arrives restructured and intends to train about 200 Brazilian companies interested in expanding their business to the US. In addition to training, 20 selected companies will receive up to twenty thousand reais to implement their business plans.

The Amazon.com 2024 edition of the E-xport program includes more practical planning activities and strategic support, as well as discounts from the Amazon.com supplier network and incentives.The project cycle begins with a basic training at the E-Xport Meeting and extends until the end of the year, with the operation of Brazilian stores in the American market.

Amazon.com is present on all continents and sends products to more than 200 countries and territories. Valentina Neves, Project and Partnership Manager for Latin America at Amazon, highlighted that about 75% of buyers use Amazon to discover new brands and products, benefiting Brazilian sellers with the high movement of the platform.

According to Camila Paschoal, analyst at the Competitiveness Coordination of ApexBrasil, the proposal is to promote the internationalization of Brazilian companies through a sustainable insertion in world e-commerce and improve their digital presence. Amazon, in turn, seeks to expand the number of Brazilian companies exporting via platform, providing training and democratizing export via international e-commerce.

Registrations Open

Small and medium-sized private label companies wishing to sell to the United States through Amazon.com can already enroll in the Amazon.com Edition E-Xport program 2024. It is recommended to participate in companies that:

  • Be small, with minimum turnover exceeding R$ 360 thousand and maximum up to R$ 4.8 million per year.
  • Have experience in export or national e-commerce.
  • Have an interest in selling your products via Amazon.com in the United States within 3 to 6 months.
