The entrepreneur Luciano Hang was in Barra Velha (SC) this week to announce a new investment by Havan in the city, where the Retailer’s Distribution Center (CDH) is located. Alongside Mayor Daniel Zimmermann, Hang visited the land recently acquired by the company, which is next to the CDH and will be incorporated into the current structure. As a result, the total area will increase from 200,000 m² to 250,000 m².
The total investment will exceed R$ 250 million, including the acquisition of a modern stacker crane of R$ 150 million and over R$ 100 million for the expansion of the logistics complex.
“This investment will allow even greater agility and efficiency in our logistics. Our Distribution Center is the heart of Havan, where the products that supply all of our stores across the country come from. Expanding this structure is essential to keep up with the company’s growth rate and continue offering excellence in serving our customers,” said Luciano Hang.
The entrepreneur also thanked the support of the Barra Velha city hall, which has been a great partner of Havan in expansion projects in the city. Besides the economic impact on the municipality, the investment is expected to create new job and income opportunities, both during the construction work and in the operation of the expanded area.
“We have always believed in Barra Velha. I am very proud to see how this city has developed in recent years and how much Havan has contributed to this growth. Today we have more than 2,500 direct employees at the CDH and we will need even more people with this new phase of the project,” added Hang.
