PL Connection, the main event ofprivate labelfrom Latin America, announces its 2024 edition, which will take place from September 17 to 19 at the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo. Promoted by Francal and Amicci, the event will bring together companies, buyers, and industry experts to boost the growth of this market.
According to Nielsen data, while the participation ofprivate labelsIn the Brazilian market as a whole, it was only 2% in the first quarter of 2023; the global average is 23%. This contrast reveals a significant potential for growth in Brazil.
The organizers expect to gather more than 3,000 visitors at the event, which aims to promote the exchange of ideas and business through quality content with national and international speakers. "PL Connection is the ideal place for companies looking to connect with new clients, launch new products, and stay updated on the latest market trends," says Fernando Ruas, CEO of Francal.
The program will be more comprehensive, including lectures, workshops, discussion panels, and networking, providing participants with a complete experience and various business opportunities. Some confirmed speakers are Ana Paula Gilsogamo, representative of the Mintel Group, as well as Pedro Cajueiro, Manager of Casa & Vídeo, and Ana Maria Diniz, Founder of the Península Institute.The event will also feature several lectures at the PL Connection Arena, offering general and technical content for the sector.
“Among the novelties of this edition is the goal of reaching 100 exhibitors representing the main brands and solutions in the marketprivate label, in addition to the presence of renowned speakers from the national and international market, who will share their experiences and knowledge," highlights Antônio Sá, co-founder of Amicci.
The 2023 edition featured 43 exhibitors, distributed across the Food sector (60.6%), Beauty, Health, and Wellness (23.2%), Miscellaneous (9.1%), and Pet (7.1%), and attracted 2,500 visitors, of whom 60% were decision-makers, including managers (18%), directors (19%), and CEOs (23%), representing 18 Brazilian states. The event also hosted prominent retail networks such as Petz, PagueMenos, Carrefour, Assaí Atacadista, RaiaDrogasil, Sumirê, Lopes Supermercados, GPA, Panvel Pharmacies, and Petland.
