PL Connection 2024 announces new confirmed speakers.

Between September 17th and 19th, PL Connection 2024 will bring together leading experts at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo to present the main strategies and trends shaping the private label market. Among the newly confirmed speakers are Ana Laura Tambasco, executive director of private label brands at Carrefour and Sam's Club; Domenico Tremaroli Filho, retail vertical director at Nielsen; and Ana Maria Diniz, co-founder of Polvo Lab.

Promoted by Francal and Amicci, the leading private label event in Latin America seeks to bring together companies, buyers, and industry experts to boost the growth of this market. It takes place concurrently with the Latam Retail Show, the largest B2B retail and consumer event in the region. Visiting brands include Carrefour, Grupo Pão de Açúcar, Cobasi, Petz, Lopes Supermercados, Droga Raia, Sam's Club, Tenda Atacado, among others.

Gabriela Morais, businesswoman and creator of her own brand, "GAAB Wellness," and Renato Camargo, vice president of customer experience at Pague Menos Pharmacies, have also confirmed their attendance. In total, around 40 speakers and 100 exhibitors are expected for the 2024 edition.

Activities and content

The program includes lectures, panel discussions, and networking, providing participants with a comprehensive experience and diverse business opportunities. This edition of the event also features new additions such as the PL Connection Arena, which will present general and technical content for the sector, as well as the launch of the 2024 Private Label Excellence Award, a celebration that aims to recognize outstanding private label products during 2023 and the first half of 2024, and the Trends and Innovation Hub, which will highlight innovative product launches in a unique and attractive space for the public.

On Tuesday (17), Ana Laura Tambasco will lead a lecture on “Winning strategies in food retail: insights from the biggest players in the country”. Following that, Renato Camargo will be present for a chat on the topic “Innovating Drugstore Shelves: Success of pharmacies with exclusive products”. Also on the first day of the event, the CEO of Martins Atacadista will bring his expertise to address the “Wholesale Universe: Private labels within market evolutions”.

Among the standout lectures on Wednesday (18) are those by Nielsen's Retail Vertical Director, Domenico Tremaroli Filho, who will address “Nilsen: Global trends and insights in the private label market”, sharing exclusive data on the subject, and a discussion on “Senior leadership’s view on private label” with the presence of advisors Hugo Bethlem, Marcelo Maia, Sandro Benelli and Jorge Herzog. Finally, businesswoman Gabriela Morais will bring all her expertise in the sector with the theme “Influencing with private labels: Meta interview Gabriela Morais”.

On Thursday (19), the last day of the event, the Corporate Director of Supermercados Paguemenos will present a discussion on “Differentiation in Food Retail: private label strategies for success”.
