Edenred, a leading digital platform for payment services and methods, and BNP Paribas Brasil, a leading bank in the European Union with a presence in more than 60 countries, announce the second edition of the DPO event (Data Protection OfficerTalks, which promote debates on artificial intelligence, privacy, and digital security, as well as strategies for protecting personal data in the current context and promoting innovation. The focus of the meeting, which will take place on September 18th starting at 2 p.m., will be the celebration of the four-year anniversary of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) coming into effect.
The event will be open to the public, with free registration, and will be held at La Fabrique, an initiative by Edenred and BNP Paribas that aims to accelerate companies and startups, as well as encourage the development of technology and innovation projects in Brazil. THEhubIt is located within the STATE Innovation Center, in Vila Leopoldina, West Zone of São Paulo.

The DPO Talks will feature two panel discussions. The first will be moderated by Aline Fachinetti, Data Protection Manager in the Americas region of Edenred, and will feature representatives from major companies, such as Caroline Rocabado from DASA; Humberto de Jesús Ortiz, DPO of Whirlpool; João Bernardi, DPO of BNP Paribas Brazil; Gustavo Godinho, Data Protection Specialist and creator of DPO Wannabe; and Juliana Morales, Personal Data Protection Specialist at BNP Paribas Brazil. The guests will discuss the lessons learned and challenges they have faced in the regulatory process related to personal data protection.
The second panel discussion, moderated by Edenred Brazil's DPO, Lara Gonçalves, will be composed of specialized lawyers who will address the trends in the field and how they perceive the scenario, the main doubts, uncertainties, risks, and challenges they observe, as company consultants: Nuria López from Daniel Law, Luis Fernando Prado from PVA Advogados, Fernanda Maia from Marcel Leonardi Advogados; Juliana Abrusio from Machado Meyer Advogados, and Caio Lima from VKL Advogados.
