Edenred, a leading digital platform for services and payment methods, and BNP Paribas Brazil, a leading bank in the European Union with a presence in over 60 countries, announce the second edition of the DPO ( Data Protection Officer ) Talks event, which promotes discussions on artificial intelligence, privacy and digital security, as well as strategies for protecting personal data in the current context and promoting innovation. The focus of the meeting, which takes place on September 18th starting at 2 pm, will be the celebration of the four-year anniversary of the entry into force of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
The event will be open to the public, with free registration, and will be held at La Fabrique, an initiative of Edenred and BNP Paribas whose mission is to accelerate companies and startups, as well as encourage the development of technology and innovation projects in Brazil. The hub is located within the STATE innovation center in Vila Leopoldina, West Zone of São Paulo.

Bringing together the main leaders in this area is a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, explore approaches and jointly strengthen governance in data protection and AI, driving innovation responsibly,” comments Graziella Adas, Executive Director of the Legal, Risk and Regulatory area at Edenred in Latin America.

DPO Talks will feature two panel discussions. The first will be moderated by Aline Fachinetti, Data Protection Manager for the Americas region at Edenred, and will include representatives from major companies, such as Caroline Rocabado from DASA; Humberto de Jesús Ortiz, DPO of Whirlpool; João Bernardi, DPO of BNP Paribas Brazil; Gustavo Godinho, Data Protection Specialist and creator of DPO Wannabe; and Juliana Morales, Personal Data Protection Specialist at BNP Paribas Brazil. The guests will discuss the lessons learned and challenges they have faced in the regulatory process related to personal data protection.
The second panel discussion, moderated by Edenred Brazil's DPO, Lara Gonçalves, will feature specialized lawyers who will address trends in the field and how they perceive the current scenario, the main doubts, uncertainties, risks, and challenges they see as consultants for companies: Nuria López, from Daniel Law; Luis Fernando Prado, from PVA Advogados; Fernanda Maia, from Marcel Leonardi Advogados; Juliana Abrusio, from Machado Meyer Advogados; and Caio Lima, from VKL Advogados.
Among the panels, there will be pitches from invited startups, such as Deep Legal Analytics and Bits Academy, which develop innovative solutions at the intersection of Law and Technology, including the area of data protection, and AB2L, the Brazilian Association of Lawtechs & Legaltechs.
