Edenred, leading digital platform for services and payment methods, and BNP Paribas Brazil, leading bank in the European Union with a presence in more than 60 countries, they announce the second edition of the DPO eventData Protection Officer) Talks, that promotes debates about artificial intelligence, privacy and digital security, in addition to strategies for protecting personal data in the current context and promoting innovation. The focus of the meeting, what happens on September 18 starting at 2 PM, it will be the celebration of the four years since the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) came into effect.
The event will be open to the public, with free registrations, and will be held at La Fabrique, an initiative by Edenred and BNP Paribas aimed at accelerating companies and startups, in addition to encouraging the development of technology and innovation projects in Brazil. The DPO Talks will feature two discussion panels. The first will be mediated by Aline Fachinetti, Data Protection Manager in the Americas region of Edenred, and will have the participation of representatives from large companies, like Caroline Rocabado, from DASA; Humberto de Jesús Ortiz, DPO of Whirlpool; João Bernardi, DPO of BNP Paribas Brazil; Gustavo Godinho, Data protection specialist and creator of DPO Wannabe and Juliana Morales, Data protection specialist at BNP Paribas Brazil. The guests will discuss the learnings and challenges they have faced in the regulatory process related to personal data protection.
The second debate table, mediated by the DPO of Edenred Brazil, Lara Gonçalves, will be composed of specialized lawyers who will address the trends in the field and how they are viewing the scenario, the main doubts, uncertainties, risks and challenges they perceive, while consultants of the companies: Nuria López, do Daniel Law, Luis Fernando Prado, of PVA Lawyers, Fernanda Maia, of Marcel Leonardi Lawyers; Juliana Abrusio, of Machado Meyer Advogados and Caio Lima from VKL Advogados.
