José Roberto Campanelli, 69 years old, is a food engineer with postgraduate studies in marketing and finance, who has built a diverse and successful career over the years. With experience in fast food and jewelry businesses, as well as sales experience in a cotton brokerage and textile yarn company, Campanelli stood out for his ability to adapt to different markets.
Always attentive to opportunities, the entrepreneur identified a significant gap in the domestic services market when facing difficulties in finding a housekeeper. "I kept asking for directions, the schedules didn't match, it was quite difficult. Just at a time when my house was under construction," says Campanelli.
Inspired by this episode, he founded Mary Help in 2011, the first franchise network for domestic service brokerage in Brazil. The company was created to facilitate, in a safe and practical way, cleaning services, housekeeping, elderly care, nannies, among others.
Mary Help's success was immediate in São José do Rio Preto, Campanelli's hometown. By the end of the year of its creation, the company entered the franchising sector, with the first franchised units starting operations in 2012. He, who until then balanced various activities, dedicated himself exclusively to Mary Help two years after its founding.
Recognized for excellence in its services, Mary Help has won four awards from the Brazilian Franchise Association (ABF) and currently has 164 franchised units across all regions of Brazil. The company stood out in the cleaning and maintenance sector, inspiring the emergence of a new market segment, later copied by other companies.
Exclusive insurance
Recently, Mary Help launched an innovative insurance for its professionals, with coverage including compensation for medical and hospital expenses, partial and total disability, accidental death, and funeral assistance. Additionally, it offers a guaranteed daily income in cases of temporary leave due to accidents. "This action is a milestone for Mary Help, which has innovated once again by providing protection for professionals who, in the vast majority, unfortunately, do not contribute to the INSS. We are committed to ensuring the well-being of this professional class and further strengthening our position in the market," says Campanelli.
José Roberto Campanelli exemplifies the true entrepreneurial spirit, transforming challenges into opportunities and always seeking innovations that add value to the market and society.
