Abese expands training courses for electronic security professionals

According to the latest survey by the Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies (ABESE), all sectors of the electronic security market are with open job vacancies, especially in technical areas, but they face the challenge of a lack of qualified labor. To address this deficit, the association has training and professionalization as one of its strategic pillars and invests in the development of the ABESE Academy, a pioneering initiative dedicated to the continuous development of the Electronic Security sector. The educational platform offers a variety of specialized courses covering topics such as sales, access control, remote gatekeeping, tracking, 24-hour monitoring, legal aspects, digital marketing, and sales pricing.

“The industry overview shows that there are more than 33,500 electronic security companies in Brazil, generating around four million direct and indirect jobs. To advance even further, it is essential to train, prepare and update professionals who know how to deal with new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, for example. With an increasingly automated society, it is essential to invest in those who will install and maintain all these systems,” says Selma Migliori, president of ABESE.

Areas with more opportunities

For the coordinator of ABESE Academy, Claudio Procida, the segments that most seek professionals are remote security, 24-hour monitoring, video surveillance, and access control, as well as sales and management areas of the company. The coordinator explains that, more than implementing technologies, the market seeks professionals aligned with best practices in usage and maintenance, as they are important technical pillars to prevent problems and ensure new business opportunities for the sector.

“Today, qualification is an essential topic for all electronic security companies seeking sustainable growth. With the market heating up, many entrepreneurs are seeking opportunities, but without the appropriate technical knowledge and alignment with best practices. As a result, security is compromised and this harms the entire segment. Therefore, investment in corporate education has become a priority for everyone,” he comments.

With new courses planned for the second semester and online and in-person options with certificate issuance, the ABESE Academy has been consolidating itself as a reference for qualification and updating for electronic security professionals.

The next course takes place this week and focuses on the subject of "leadership." With the theme "Excellence in Leadership: Unlocking High Performance," the course will be held via live online broadcast on July 25, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and will continue for another seven days with the student's individual journey studying on the educational platform to complete their assessment.

In August, the courses “Electronic Security Projects – How to develop and create perfect commercial proposals” are scheduled, on the 15th, at the ABESE headquarters, in São Paulo and “Excellence in your Monitoring Center – Learn how to achieve operational quality and expand your business”, on the 22nd (online).
