The Brazilian Association of Electronic Commerce (ABComm) projects online revenue of R$ 6.56 billion for Father's Day this year, celebrated on August 11th. This amount represents a 5% increase compared to last year, when revenue was R$ 6.25 billion. The average ticket should also show growth, increasing from R$ 453 in 2023 to R$ 469 in 2024.
The expectation is that the number of orders will rise from 13 million, recorded in the previous year, to 14 million this year, reinforcing the sector's growth trend. The most sought-after categories by consumers are electronics, computing, fashion, cell phones, and appliances.
“Father’s Day has become one of the main dates on the e-commerce sales calendar. We have seen consistent growth year after year, driven by the advancement of digital and consumers’ preference for convenience and variety,” says Mauricio Salvador, president of ABComm.
