Consolidated in the market, VMpay celebrates 10 years

Facilitating access to high-complexity technology and providing more security to operational transactions of small and medium retailers were the main ingredients for the success recipe of VMpay, a management platform for payments in autonomous points of sale, by VMtecnologia, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

As a result of this innovative recipe for the Brazilian market, the platform currently counts approximately three thousand companies in its database and over 21 thousand points of sale spread throughout the country using its system. In the last year alone, over R$1 billion was transacted through the platform. The amount was boosted by the consolidation of autonomous micromarket segments, installed in condominiums, and self-service laundromats, as well as vending machines, especially for snacks and beverages, which have become popular among Brazilian consumers.

“VMtecnologia, which was recently acquired by Nayax Ltd. (Nasdaq: NYAX; TASE: A NYAX), a global payments and loyalty platform, bets on the diversification of its products and the creation of new market demands. With a culture of continuous innovation, we develop increasingly advanced solutions and new technologies, thereby empowering thousands of companies with end-to-end solutions at an affordable cost, including hardware, firmware, software, mobile, payments, and connectivity”, says Luiz Alberto Schwab Jr., CTO of VMtecnologia.

In a careful look at the 10 years of operation of the platform, Schwab Jr. states that VMpay has contributed to improving the robustness and operational efficiency of its clients, as well as the user experience of thousands of users. The product has various functionalities aimed at reducing operational costs and optimizing the efficiency of operators’ and customers’ journey in their purchases, whether in self-service establishments or vending machines that use the platform. “As an example, we can highlight our tool for scheduling visits from vending machine and micromarket verticals, which automate the entire distribution of products in stores and self-service machines efficiently. Another example is the analytical and synthetic reports related to operations, such as ruptures and breaks,” he highlights.

The brand of a decade also recalls challenges that have been overcome for the consolidation of the platform as an inexhaustible tool in the self-service sector in Brazil. “Fidelizing our customers with increasingly efficient service was one of our main challenges starting in 2014. And achieving this result, looking at a decade of work and innovation, is a testament to the quality of our services, the agility of our team, and the efficiency of our technologies. Innovation and the implementation of continuous improvements have walked hand in hand with us, helping to overcome challenges and improve the business environment of our clients,” he adds.
