Meet GuruMatch, a startup aiming to be the “Tinder” of Education

In recent years, digital education has become essential in the professionalization and continuous training of teams. Watching this movement, the GuruMatch, a Brazilian edtech company, emerges as an innovative solution and proposes to be the ‘Tinder’ of Education for boosting learning.

With just three years of existence, the startup stands out as a new force in the Creator Economy, a market that currently has about 7 million Brazilians monetizing digital content and is expected to double in size by 2027, reaching the $480 billion mark, as projected by Goldman Sachs, by providing a unique teaching platform that connects content creators, called Gurus, to learners in a highly interactive and personalized way.

Furthermore, the learning platform offers a flexible white-label model, allowing complete customization of the interface and features for companies, educational institutions, and professionals offering online courses. ‘We provide a robust and scalable infrastructure capable of efficiently integrating with various systems via API, ensuring a high-quality, tailored educational experience,’ explains Ari Martire, Founder and Director of Marketing, Growth, and Strategy at GuruMatch.

The growth of distance learning is another factor driving the relevance of GuruMatch in the sector. Between 2011 and 2021, EAD grew by 474%, and in 2023, the e-learning market in Brazil moved more than US$ 4.5 billion, according to data from PagSeguro. This context reinforces the need for innovative solutions in digital education, such as that offered by the edtech.

“We noticed this gap in the market, with many individuals and companies unable to have a suitable virtual learning environment for team training, course marketing, and even connecting to teachers and experts in specific activities and courses. Our purpose is to ensure that this content reaches people using the best of technology to create personalized learning paths where each person receives specific training aligned with their roles and for companies to be environments that foster education,” Ari emphasizes.

Since its foundation, the startup has established strategic partnerships with renowned companies and institutions, with over 50 clients on the roster. These collaborations highlight GuruMatch’s ability to break barriers and promote both professional and personal development.

In its virtual environment, the startup offers corporate training tools with gamification on the LMS platform (learning management software) providing learners with a unique and personalized experience, establishing itself not only as a digital teaching platform but a complete and strategic solution that combines knowledge and desire in an interactive and adaptable virtual learning environment.

“We use technology for training, coaching, and people management and it has been very successful! Our clients have impressive engagement numbers and significant improvement in their employees’ lives. All companies have an onboarding process that defines the employee’s journey; we are here to boost careers and enhance the employee experience,” Martire concludes.
