ClickBus registers a 33% growth in sales at Rock In Rio

ClickBus, a platform for solutions for travelers and the road transportation sector, recorded a 33% growth in the sale of tickets for Rock in Rio 2024 compared to the last year the event was held. According to the company, the road movement on weekends, heading to Rio de Janeiro during the festival, exceeded Carnival and New Year’s Eve.

Among the main travel origins, the city of São Paulo stands out representing over 40% of the total sales volume for the period. The regions that grew the most heading to the city of Rio de Janeiro were: Volta Redonda in Rio de Janeiro with 130% growth and Juiz de Fora in Minas Gerais with 111% increase.

“Road travel is a great option for consumers heading to festivals, and online purchasing greatly facilitates passenger organization and agenda anticipation. There has been a significant evolution in the sector, with modern fleets equipped with special buses, onboard services, and Wi-Fi access, a true premium experience,” says Phillip Klien, CEO of ClickBus.

ClickBus invests in research and consumer profile analyses, and based on the latest data, it was possible to notice that travelers seek road trips during festival periods to rest during the journey, for the ease of buying through the application, and for the competitive prices.
